Not Orbs; DUST SPECKS!!

A friend and I recently walked down to a cemetery close to my place just to get a few dusk shots of headstones etc.
I don't know about you, but cemetery's never feel empty. Even if you're walking alone your mind seems to trick you into thinking thats not entirely the case. I guess it all depends on how spiritual you are. And realistic of course.

A lot of the grave sites had literally CAVED in.. Not a good look to say the least. I was expecting some zombie ish to go down and all you'd hear for miles would be my blood curdling screams. I imagined that scenario at least 20x over before we'd left.
In only two photos (above the same grave) there was an orb. Ahem, i mean dust speck.

Cause we don't believe in ORBS here at GETFLICKED.. Or at least that's whats helped me sleep so far.

Crush City x Get Flicked Photography

Here at GET FLICKED, we appreciate it when someone throws us a bone.
Especially when that bone comes in the form of a beautiful lady geared up with Ironlak ready to 'assume the position' if you will.

Recently I shot for CRUSH CITY out on the Southside somewhere (c'mon, i was heaps outta my element!) for an upcoming AD, (you'll see soon, believe me you'll be pissed if i tell you now and ruin it). We had Bec, our lovely model dance about for a few hours as the sun set. For the record, when using Canon 430exii speedlights, READ THE DAMN MANUAL BEFORE IT GETS DARK! We were stuck with lighting at one stage but thankfully one of the art directors had a torch app we used to help my ole' 30D focus correctly.

Long story short, Flicksy needs more practise with manual lighting. Here's a few for now anyone, whadda ya think??
Okay, Posts' over; quit looking at the cleavege!

I was desperately trying to think of a post for this week..

I got NADA..
So just have a gander and bear with me until my creativity starts flowing again. I'm jobless, give me a break.

Or a job?

I Love My City

Tavern Slander Launch

Last Saturday night was a big one for Brisbane Hip Hop Heads. Interstate act, TAVERN SLANDER came up to do a gig for their album drop which goes down in May.

CheapSober and Willis are two sensational fucking rappers, who each compliment the others flow impeccably. You won't find much about lost love or family issues, but if you're like me and prefer a dirty beat paired with two raw as fuck voices spitting about a topic you can relate to, like in your Sunday morning hungover state, while you're next to that dirty hoe you'd rather chew your arm off than to wake her up kinda steeze, than these dudes are definitely your thaaaang.
Hit 'em up via the obvious links and cop their album in May.

Green Dregs and Hams.

So I got to meet Hams this past week end at the Crush City Grand Opening. To say it was an honor would be an insult to this guy, 'cause he's gotta be the most down to earth, well spoken and polite artist I've ever met. I'll be honest, we all know this guy's got cred and has paid his dues, so i initially thought he'd have an ego to match. I couldn't be more wrong.
We watched him paint for a few hours and this guys style just never ceases to amaze me, with a personality to match. For young'ens like me it's a big deal to see writers like this in their element, and Hams is definitely in his element.

Crush City is located at 423 Ipswich Rd ANNERLEY. Only 5 minutes from Fairfield station, up Fanny St. They stock all the best and affordable supplies for the urban expressionist.
Check their blog for upcoming events, specials etc.
